The Costa del Sol will once again provide the stage for world-class international women’s golf with the 2026 Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España presented by Oysho. From 26 to 29 November, the Europa course at La Cala Resort, in Mijas (Málaga), will host the tournament that brings the Ladies European Tour (LET) season to a close and which has Turismo Costa del Sol as a main sponsor alongside the Regional Government of Andalusia.

La Cala Resort’s debut as tournament venue opens a new chapter in the Open’s relationship with the province of Málaga. Its Europa course is part of a resort featuring three championship courses alongside an extensive range of accommodation and services, providing an ideal setting to showcase both the competition itself and the experience the Costa del Sol offers to those who travel to the destination to play golf.

Antonio Díaz, Managing Director of Turismo Costa del Sol, highlighted the importance of this new edition for the province: «It is a great pleasure to see the province of Málaga once again host a new edition of the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España presented by Oysho, one of the major events on the international women’s golf calendar. And to do so at an outstanding venue such as La Cala Resort, which perfectly represents the quality, excellence and ability of the Costa del Sol to host major international sporting events».

Known internationally as the Costa del Golf, the province is home to more than 70 golf courses, complemented by an extensive range of accommodation, gastronomy, culture and leisure options that make it possible to enjoy the sport throughout the year. Staging the Open at the end of November provides international exposure for this offering at a particularly important time for golf tourism and once again places the destination in front of the LET’s global audience.

As Díaz explained, «For Turismo Costa del Sol, golf is much more than a strategic tourism segment: it is a true hallmark of our destination and a fundamental tool in our efforts to reduce seasonality and attract visitors throughout the year».

The 2026 edition will also coincide with the unveiling of Turismo Costa del Sol’s refreshed golf identity. The Open will provide a showcase for presenting this new image alongside the courses, services and experiences that make up the destination’s golf offering. «This edition also comes with a refreshed golf identity, through which we want to present to the world a modern, dynamic Costa del Sol that is ready to continue leading the way in golf tourism. The Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España presented by Oysho once again gives us a magnificent opportunity to showcase everything our province has to offer golf fans and professionals alike», added Díaz.

On the sporting front, the championship will bring together 75 players for the final event of the LET season. The competition at La Cala Resort will further strengthen the Open’s ties with the Costa del Sol and give fans and visitors the opportunity to watch the leading players on the circuit up close on the Europa course.
