AVAILABLE POSITIONS
All voluntary positions will receive a commemorative mid-layer from the tournament, as well as an 18-hole green fee for every 2 days of volunteering and in addition, food and drink will be provided.
Specific details of the different positions where they can volunteer:
SCORERS (system performance and scoreboards)
Prerequisite is to know golf. There are 3 jobs available:
LEADERBOARDS
They are stationary in a hole updating the leader boards. They receive the information from the main board.
They will work from Thursday 28th November to Sunday 1st December while the professional competition is running.
The position is voluntary (unpaid).
LEADERBOARDS
They will play the 18 holes with a match and record the results on a PDA provided by the organisers.
They will work from Thursday 28th November to Sunday 1st December and will last as long as it takes to finish the round. It is essential to have knowledge of golf and to know English.
The position is voluntary (unpaid).
PORTABLE SCOREBOARDS
Walk through the 18 holes with a group of golfers and transport the portable scoreboard. Update the final scores of each player on each hole.
Some will work from Thursday 28th November to Sunday 1st December during the round.
This position is voluntary.
MARSHALL (spectator control)
Prerequisite is to know golf. There are 3 jobs available:
MARSHALL FIXED
They cover tee area 1, tee 10 and green of holes 9 and 18.
Available from Thursday 28th November to Sunday 1st December, during the day of the competition.
This position is voluntary.
CADDIE BIB COLLECTOR
Responsible and methodical person who is in charge of collecting and ordering the caddies’ bibs at the end of each game.
They will work Thursday 28th November to Sunday 1st December.
The position is voluntary (unpaid).
MOBILE MARSHALL
You must ensure to maintain a positive environment and silence for both players and spectators, during the match that corresponds to follow.
Available from Thursday 28th November to Sunday 1st December.
This position is voluntary.
OTHER POSITIONS
Other available positions:
TELEVISION ASSISTANT
Prerequisite is to know golf, fluent English and know the area well.
They help television cameras, moving them from one area to another and inform commentators on the game details recorded.
The position is voluntary (unpaid). This position will be required during Saturday and Sunday. Only one of them will be necessary for the four days of competition.
CADDIE
Walk through the 18 holes with the assigned player carrying the bag over her shoulder, in addition to accompanying her during her warm-up and training. It is necessary to have knowledge of golf and speak English.
They will work from Monday 25th to Sunday 1st of December all day.
The position is paid, The player pay directly 40€ per day. When It is being paid, the organization does not take care of the meals (are agreed directly with the players) nor of the green fees for days worked.
VOLUNTEER OFFICE ASSISTANT
Responsible for assisting in the management and coordination of the volunteer office: check-in, schedules, issuing of badges and uniforms. Knowledge of golf and English is required.
Will work from Wednesday 27th to Sunday 1st December during the whole day. Hours: 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m.
The position is voluntary (unpaid).
PARKING CONTROL
Responsible for the correct parking of vehicles in the different car parks set up for the tournament.
They will work from Tuesday 26 November to Sunday 1st December.
The position is voluntary (unpaid). For each day worked, a free green fee will be available.
