The Real Guadalhorce Club de Golf is a par 72 course with two distinct areas: the first nine holes are a typical English ‘parkland’ with unsophisticated vegetation, extending over gentle hills and watercourses, while the second nine holes have more diversified fairways and water areas that influence five holes. But undoubtedly the greatest difficulty of this course lies in its greens, which are fast and difficult to execute. The wind, usually present on the course, will be the other big factor to take into account, and will determine the experience of the professionals on this exceptional course.

The design of the Real Guadalhorce Club de Golf, built on the grounds of the Cortijo Colmenares, a former residence of the Marquises of Larios built in the 18th century, is complemented by a very special clubhouse, an authentic Andalusian farmhouse that has even preserved a small chapel, but which has been modernised with various sports facilities that make it the Malaga club of reference.
