The Andalusian player has confirmed her presence in the tournament that wil close the Ladies European Tour season fron November 24th  to 27th at Alferini Golf (Villa Padierna), located in Benahavís, Malaga

Azahara Muñoz will be another of the greatest attractions in the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España 2022, as the player from Málaga has confirmed her presence in this tournament that will end the Ladies European Tour season from November 24th to 27th at Alferini Golf (Villa Padiema), in the Costa del Sol town of Benahavís-

The Andalusian golfer has returned to training and playing professional tournaments recently, after she gave birth to her first child, Lucas, last February. Therefore, playing the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España 2022, in her homeland and in front of her family and friends, will be very special to her.

“After my motherhood, I´ve been training little by little and returned to competition in September. I´ve played three LPGA tournaments in which I´ve had good feelings and I could not miss the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España 2022, a championship that brings me back very good memories and where I always enjoy a lot”, she declared.

It is obvious that Azahara Muñoz arrives at Alferini Golf with not much competitive filming, but the local player really knows  what it means to win this tournament, since she won the 2016 and 2017 editions. Supported by her public, she is always a competitor to watch out for.

“Winning this tournament for the third time would be incredible. I’m looking forward to doing well but I don’t want to put pressure on myself. I think it will be a test for me and will help not only to check my level, but also to see how can I organize traveling with my son. In this regard, my husband and parents´s help will be essential”, she explained.

After her return to competition, Azahara Muñoz’s main objective once she reaches her best level will be trying to qualify for the 2023 Solheim Cup, which is also played on her home soil.  But for the time being, the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España 2022, a tournament that will also crown the winner of the Race To Costa del Sol,( the LET’s merit order), for the third consecutive edition, will be a good touchstone.
