• The prestigious Malaga club will host the grand final of the Ladies European Tour for the second consecutive year, from 27th to 30th November
  • Guadalhorce overcame the challenge of 2024 with flying colours, offering a stage worthy of a historic victory for Carlota Ciganda

The Real Guadalhorce Club de Golf, one of the most iconic enclaves of Andalusian golf, will once again host the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España 2025 presented by Oysho, the last event of the Ladies European Tour (LET) season, to be held from 27th to 30th November. It will be the second consecutive time that the Malaga club will host the most important women’s golf tournament in Spain, thus consolidating its position as a reference venue for major international events.

The 2024 edition was a turning point for Guadalhorce. For the first time in its history it hosted a women’s tournament on the European circuit, and the result could not have been more satisfactory. For four days, the course offered a technical challenge of the highest level and an unbeatable environment, earning the unanimous praise of players, coaches and fans. The tournament concluded with an emotional victory for Carlota Ciganda, who won her second Spanish Open after a vibrant duel with Manon De Roey, putting the finishing touch to a record-breaking season for the LET.

For Ángel Gancedo Arjona, president of the club, “hosting this great tournament again is recognition of a job well done. In 2024 we proved that Guadalhorce has everything it takes to host a great final: a demanding course, first class facilities and a dedicated team. It will be a pleasure to open our doors again to the best European women’s golf”.

The course at Real Guadalhorce Club de Golf, a par 72 with two clearly differentiated rounds, challenges players with its variety of holes and fast, technical greens. Redesigned by Miguel Ángel Jiménez in 2007 on the original layout by Kosti Kuronen, the course is part of the legacy of Spanish golf. Its history is also linked to the great names on the national scene, with Jiménez himself as champion of the Spanish Men’s Professional Championship in 1999 and 2002.

In 2024, this same course was the setting for Carlota Ciganda’s memorable final round, overcoming the obstacles of the course and the pressure of Manon De Roey to win with -18 and a one-stroke lead over the Belgian. The audience was also witness to the carefree performance of the young amateur from Madrid, Andrea Revuelta, who finished fifth and won the Celia Barquín Award for the best amateur of the tournament.

But Guadalhorce is much more than a demanding course. The club is set in the grounds of the Cortijo Colmenares, the former 18th century residence of the Marquises of Larios, and its clubhouse, an Andalusian farmhouse with a chapel, offers a unique experience for players and visitors alike. Its proximity to the airport and the centre of Malaga make the club a strategic venue for the organisation of the tournament, as well as an ideal showcase to project Andalusian and Spanish golf to the world.

The Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España 2025 presented by Oysho will bring together the 72 best players of the LET, as well as the three best Spanish amateurs, and will distribute 700,000 euros in prizes, putting the finishing touch to a dream season. And it will do so, once again, on a stage that has already proven to be on a par with the best in the world.
