The Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España presented by Oysho, last Ladies European Tour (LET) tournament of the year, will be held at the Real Guadalhorce Club de Golf from 28th November to 1st December. This year, the three Spanish amateur players were invited to participate in the event are Andrea Revuelta, Paula Martín and Carla Bernat, who will also compete for the Celia Barquín Award, which recognises the best amateur golfer of the tournament in honour of the talented player from Cantabria, who passed away in 2018.
Andrea Revuelta is presented as the Spanish Absolute Amateur Championship winner in 2024, which has positioned her among the most promising players in the country. Paula Martín, Spanish Amateur champion in 2022, has also made history by winning the NCAA college league this year, becoming the fifth Spanish player to do so after Belén Mozo (2008), Azahara Muñoz (2009), Carlota Ciganda (2009) and Carolina López-Chacarra (2023). Carla Bernat, who was Spanish Amateur champion in 2021, completes this trio of promising golfers.
The Celia Barquín Award is given to the best amateur of the tournament, with participation reserved for the reigning champion of Spain and the two best Spanish players available in the World Amateur Ranking. This year, the recognition of Revuelta, Martín and Bernat symbolises the hope and future of women’s golf in Spain, while paying tribute to the memory of Celia Barquín.
The 2024 edition of the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España will also be decisive in defining the winner of the Tour’s Order of Merit, an award that recognises the most consistent player of the season. In a privileged setting near Malaga, the tournament will not only offer a great sporting spectacle, but will also allow you to enjoy the rich cultural and tourist offer of the region.
